In the irrigation sector, MEIL has successfully executed projects in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Telangana, with more projects in the pipeline in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana. Through numerous drinking water projects in more than 10 Indian states, the company plans to provide clean drinking water to tens of lakhs of people.
In the power division, MEIL has helped electrify more than 250 villages in Karnataka, 800 villages in Telangana, and is supplying power to more than 2 lakh households in Madhya Pradesh. The company has also built photo-voltaic and concentrated solar power plants in the states of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh respectively. The Western U.P. Power Transmission Company Ltd. (WUPPTCL) is a MEIL subsidiary that was set up to execute a high value BOOT project in the state of Uttar Pradesh. On the strength of the completion of this project, MEIL will become one of India’s prime transmission line contractor.
In the energy sector, MEIL has acquired significant execution experience in the Hydrocarbons vertical. This division handles complex and specialized hydrocarbon projects covering civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation activities for the scope covering design & engineering, procurement, construction management, pre-commissioning and commissioning. This diverse project team is presently handling a revamping project of one of India’s largest onshore oil & gas field facilities for ONGC-Assam Lakwa fields on EPC basis.
Through the efforts of MEIL’s transportation division, the HKR Road Project, stretching from Hyderabad to Ramagundem, facilitates smooth and faster journeys to more than 2 lakh commuters on a daily basis. The company has also forayed into the railways sector with the construction of the Bina-Kota project for the client RVNL.
On the international front, MEIL has honed its project experience in countries like Bangladesh, Zambia, Tanzania, and the Gulf region (Kuwait) by exploring opportunities in the areas of water management, hydrocarbons and health care infrastructure.
MEIL is consistently able to provide quality infrastructure at the most cost-effective rates because of its strength in manufacturing. The company has developed a complete suite of solutions in the specialized area of surge protection in pipelines which includes its own analysis software and proprietary engineering solutions for actual pipeline installations. The company also caters to the development of large scale backward integration through the manufacture of spiral welded pipes, HDPE pipes, and GRP & GRE pipes.
